From the Mines to the Heart: A Family’s Journey with Emeralds

When I think back to where it all began, I see the emerald mines of Colombia — the dust, the light, and the hands that bring these stones to life. I began as an emerald cutter, learning the patience, precision, and respect that each stone demands. Every day in the cutting room taught me to see the beauty hidden inside raw stones and to honor it through craft.

Today, I work alongside my sisters, and together we carry forward a family passion for jewelry. We’ve built this business on trust, skill, and a shared dedication to excellence. Each of us brings her own perspective, and together we ensure that every stone, every piece, reflects the care and expertise that our clients deserve.

Years ago, I brought my daughter with me to the mines. I wanted her to see not just the stones, but the people — the miners whose hands bring them from the earth, the communities built around this work, and the grit and beauty of it all. She watched me negotiate in rooms full of men, and I watched her eyes light up with the same passion that drives me.

Running a jewelry business in a male-dominated industry was never easy, but it taught us resilience, confidence, and the importance of standing by our values. This business is more than jewelry — it’s family, heritage, and a promise: to honor the miners, to respect the craft, and to create pieces that carry not just beauty, but meaning.

This blog will be our way of sharing that journey with you. The stories behind the emeralds. The lessons from decades in the trade. And maybe, the little details you don’t find in textbooks — the heartbeat of an emerald, the way it feels to hold a stone that’s millions of years old, and the quiet pride of passing this passion on to the next generation.

Welcome to our story. We’re so glad you’re here.
